If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.<\/p>\n      <p>If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization (such as a school, university, or company), you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.<\/p>\n    <\/section>\n\n    <section id=\"tos-description\">\n      <h2><span class=\"tos-section-num\">2<\/span> Service Description<\/h2>\n      <p>Fokus Reader is an AI-powered intelligent reading application designed to make knowledge accessible to everyone, including individuals with reading difficulties, visual impairments, and language barriers.<\/p>\n      <h3>2.1 Core Features<\/h3>\n      <p>The Service provides, but is not limited to, the following features:<\/p>\n      <ul>\n        <li><strong>E-book Reading:<\/strong> Support for EPUB, MOBI, AZW3, TXT, PDF, PNG, and JPEG file formats, with customizable reading settings including fonts, font size, line spacing, paragraph spacing, background themes, and page layout.<\/li>\n        <li><strong>Text-to-Speech (TTS):<\/strong> Multilingual read-aloud functionality with support for English, French, Chinese, Spanish, German, and Japanese, with adjustable voice, pitch, and speed settings, and synchronized sentence highlighting.<\/li>\n        <li><strong>AI-Powered Tools:<\/strong> AI text explanation, Google Translation, Wikipedia integration, OCR text extraction from images, and AI-powered news summarization in multiple languages.<\/li>\n        <li><strong>RSS News Reader:<\/strong> RSS feed subscription and reading with AI-based summarization and translation.<\/li>\n        <li><strong>Digital Library:<\/strong> Access to Gutenberg Digital Library with search and categorization, plus AI Agent-powered extended book search across multiple sources.<\/li>\n        <li><strong>Annotation &#038; Notes:<\/strong> Text highlighting, note-taking, and note export functionality.<\/li>\n      <\/ul>\n      <h3>2.2 Availability<\/h3>\n      <p>Features and availability may vary depending on your subscription plan, geographic location, and device capabilities. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time with reasonable notice.<\/p>\n    <\/section>\n\n    <section id=\"tos-accounts\">\n      <h2><span class=\"tos-section-num\">3<\/span> User Accounts<\/h2>\n      <h3>3.1 Account Registration<\/h3>\n      <p>To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date.<\/p>\n      <h3>4.3 Student Verification<\/h3>\n      <p>Student pricing requires verification through a valid <strong>.edu email address<\/strong> or a photo of your student ID. The student discount remains active for as long as you remain enrolled and can provide valid verification upon request.<\/p>\n      <h3>4.4 Cancellation<\/h3>\n      <p>You may cancel your subscription at any time through Settings in the app. Upon cancellation:<\/p>\n      <ul>\n        <li>You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.<\/li>\n        <li>No refunds will be provided for the remaining unused portion of a billing period.<\/li>\n        <li>Your account will revert to the Basic (Free) plan after the billing period ends.<\/li>\n      <\/ul>\n      <h3>4.5 Price Changes<\/h3>\n      <p>We reserve the right to adjust subscription pricing. Any price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance and will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.<\/p>\n    <\/section>\n\n    <section id=\"tos-free-trial\">\n      <h2><span class=\"tos-section-num\">5<\/span> Free Trial<\/h2>\n      <p>The Pro plan may include a <strong>7-day free trial<\/strong>. No credit card is required to start a free trial. At the end of the trial period, you may choose to subscribe to a paid plan or continue using the free Basic plan.<\/p>\n      <p>Free trial eligibility is limited to one trial per user account. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and may not always be accurate, complete, or up-to-date.<\/p>\n      <h3>9.2 AI Book Search Agent<\/h3>\n      <p>When a book is not found in the Gutenberg library, our AI Agent may search additional sources and provide external purchase links (e.g., Amazon, Google Books). Fokus Intelligence is not responsible for the availability, pricing, or quality of third-party products or services linked through this feature.<\/p>\n      <h3>9.3 OCR (Optical Character Recognition)<\/h3>\n      <p>OCR features extract text from images for reading and translation purposes. Accuracy may vary depending on image quality, language, and formatting. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of OCR-extracted text.<\/p>\n      <h3>9.4 Limitations<\/h3>\n      <p>AI features are subject to usage limits based on your subscription plan. You agree not to rely solely on AI-generated outputs for critical decisions.
